Complete Step-by-Step Guide for iPhone Users (Face Authentication)

This guide explains how pensioners can generate their Digital Life Certificate (DLC) using an iPhone.

👉 No need to visit the bank
👉 Entire process can be done from home

✅ Before You Start

📌 What You Need

  • iPhone with internet connection (Wi-Fi or Mobile Data)

  • Aadhaar Number

  • Active Mobile Number (for OTP)

  • Email ID (optional)

⚠ Face Authentication is mandatory on iPhone. Fingerprint/Iris devices are not used.

🔹 STEP 1: Install Required Apps

1️⃣ Install AadhaarFaceRD App

  1. Open App Store

  2. Search: aadhaarfacerd

  3. Install the official app

This app enables Aadhaar face authentication.

2️⃣ Install Jeevan Pramaan Face App

  1. Open App Store

  2. Search: JeevanPramaan Face App

  3. Install the official application

  4. Open the app

🔹 STEP 2: Operator Authentication (One Time Only)

This step is required only the first time you use the app.

👉 The pensioner himself/herself can act as the Operator.

1️⃣ Enter Operator Details

On the Device Registration & Operator Identification screen:

Enter:

  • Aadhaar Number

  • Mobile Number

  • Email ID

👉 The mobile number does NOT need to be linked with Aadhaar.
👉 OTP will come on the mobile/email you enter.

Click Submit

2️⃣ Enter OTP

  • OTP will be sent to mobile and email

  • Enter any one OTP received

  • Click Submit

If OTP not received → Tap Resend OTP

3️⃣ Consent & Face Scan

After OTP verification:

  • Enter Operator Name

  • Tick the consent checkbox

  • Tap Scan

4️⃣ Allow Camera Permission

A pop-up will appear:

“AadhaarFaceRD would like to access camera”

👉 Tap Allow

Without camera permission, face authentication will not work.

5️⃣ Complete Face Authentication

  • Keep your face inside the circle

  • Sit straight

  • Blink when asked

  • Hold phone steady

  • Follow on-screen instructions

After successful authentication, the app will restart and show:

✅ Operator Authentication Successful

Now the one-time registration is complete.

🔹 STEP 3: Pensioner Authentication

Whenever you open the app again, it will directly show Pensioner Authentication Screen.

1️⃣ Enter Pensioner Details

Fill:

  • Aadhaar Number

  • Mobile Number

  • Email (optional)

Tap Submit

2️⃣ Enter OTP

  • OTP will come on your mobile

  • Enter OTP

  • Tap Submit

If not received → Tap Resend OTP

🔹 STEP 4: Fill Pension Details Carefully

After OTP verification:

You will see a form.

It may show:

✔ Pre-filled PPO details
OR
✔ Blank form

If PPO Details Are Already Available

  • Select correct PPO number from dropdown

  • You can edit all details except PPO number

If PPO Not Found

Select:

“Add new pension PPO not in list for yourself”

Then fill all details manually.

📌 Enter Details Carefully

You must fill:

  • Pensioner Name

  • Type of Pension

  • Organization Type

  • Sanctioning Authority

  • Disbursing Agency (Bank)

  • PPO Number

  • Pension Account Number

  • Re-employment / Re-marriage status (if applicable)

⚠ Incorrect information may lead to rejection by Pension Disbursing Agency.

Tap Next

🔹 STEP 5: Preview & Confirm

You will see a preview screen.

  • Check all details carefully

  • If wrong → Tap Back

  • If correct → Tick both checkboxes

  • Tap Submit

🔹 STEP 6: Add Another PPO (If Required)

A pop-up will ask:

“Do you want to add another PPO?”

  • Tap Yes → Fill details for additional PPO

  • Tap No → Continue

🔹 STEP 7: Final Consent & Face Scan

Now:

  • Screen shows selected PPO numbers

  • Tick consent checkbox

  • Tap Scan

🔹 STEP 8: Face Authentication for DLC

Follow instructions carefully:

✔ Sit upright
✔ Face camera directly
✔ Keep eyes open
✔ Blink when instructed
✔ Keep phone steady
✔ Ensure good lighting

The screen will guide you if:

  • Lighting is poor

  • Camera is shaking

  • Face not properly aligned

🎉 After Successful Authentication

You will see:

✅ Digital Life Certificate Generated
✅ Pramaan ID displayed
✅ SMS received with Pramaan ID
✅ Download link sent to mobile

👉 No need to submit anything physically
👉 DLC is automatically sent to your Pension Disbursing Agency
